Riddhi Laijawala is a Research Assistant in the Section of Perinatal Psychiatry at the Stress, Psychiatry and Immunology Laboratory (SPI Lab) at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience at King’s College London. She completed her MSc in Developmental Psychology and Psychopathology in 2021 from King’s College London.

Along with the HappyMums project, she is also involved in a Wellcome-funded clinical trial investigating the efficacy of a 10-week-long singing intervention on postnatal depressive symptomology, as well as is a Writer and Assistant Editor at Inspire the Mind, the SPI Lab’s digital magazine.

She is extremely passionate about the First 1000 Days of Life, with a particular focus on maternal foetal attachment and parent-infant interaction in the context of perinatal mental illness during this period.
