Prof. Annamaria Cattaneo - Study Coordinator

Annamaria Cattaneo is an Associate Professor at the University of Milan and leads the Laboratory of Biological Psychiatry at the Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Healthcare Fatebenefratelli, in Brescia, Italy. Her research focuses on understanding how early life adversities contribute to mental disorders by studying neuroplasticity, inflammation, and stress responses, as well as identifying peripheral biomarkers linked to disease risk and treatment outcomes.

Karim Lekadir is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Barcelona. He explores innovative data science techniques to ensure trustworthy and ethical artificial intelligence in medicine.

Doctor Maria Bulgheroni - WP5 Leader

Dr. Maria Bulgheroni is an electronic engineer and Director of Research and Development at Ab.Acus.
She has extensive expertise in R&D project management and software development, thanks to her strong background in digital health. She is also actively involved in academic and professional teaching and has authored numerous publications in the fields of digital health and neuropsychology.

Prof. Marco Andrea Riva - WP6 Leader

Marco Andrea Riva is a Full Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Milan. His research focuses on neuropsychopharmacology and molecular psychiatry, with particular expertise in stress-related psychopathology, psychiatric animal models, epigenetic mechanisms, and the action of psychotropic medications.

Prof. Carmine Maria Pariante - WP8 Leader

Carmine Pariante is Professor of Biological Psychiatry at King’s College London and a Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. His research focuses on the role of stress and inflammation in mental disorders and in the response to psychotropic treatments, with a particular focus on the perinatal period.

Prof. Claudia Buss and Prof. Sonja Enringer - WP3 Leader

Claudia Buss is Professor at the Institute of Medical Psychology at Charité and Professor at the University of California School of Medicine. She is a leading expert in how stress and stress-related biological and behavioral factors during pregnancy shape fetal brain development and infant health. Sonja Entringer is Professor at the Institute of Medical Psychology at the Charité and Professor at the Department of Pediatrics, University of California. Her main research focus is on psychobiological mechanisms of developmental origins of health and disease risk.
