Francesca Manuella
Francesca Manuella is an Academic Associate in the Laboratory of Neuroepigenetics at the Brain Research Institute (HiFo) of the University and ETH Zürich. She obtained her MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Cagliari (Italy) and has been an integral part of Professor Mansuy's Lab since 2010. With her solid background and extensive experience with animal studies, she leads the organization of all in vivo experiments across many different projects. Within the HappyMums project, Francesca is responsible for coordinating and managing the animal research conducted for WP6 (identification of peripheral and brain molecular maladaptation associated with depressive symptoms during gestation in rodents) and WP7 (preclinical identification of behavioural and molecular mechanisms in blood and brains of pregnant dams receiving interventions and, in their offspring).
