Isabelle Mansuy
Isabelle M Mansuy is professor in neuroepigenetics at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich and the Department of Health Sciences and Technology of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Her lab studies the mechanisms of epigenetic inheritance and identified molecular factors in reproductive cells responsible for the transmission of acquired traits across generations in mammals.
The work focuses on early life trauma and its impact on mental and physical health in mouse and humans. I. Mansuy authored over 200 research articles, reviews and book chapters in neuroscience and neuroepigenetics and a popular book on epigenetics for the public. She is a member of the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences, the European Academy of Sciences (EURASC), the European Molecular Biology Organization, is knight in the National Order of Merit and holds the Legion of Honor in France.
