Maja Brekalo
Maja Brekalo, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department for Psychology at the Catholic University of Croatia. Her doctoral thesis, defended with the highest honour (summa cum laude), was about rejection sensitivity and psychopathology during the transition to high school. She is a co-author of a dozen scientific papers on perinatal mental health, maternal stress, and mother-infant bonding. Her research interests are focused on the relationship between parental personality traits, psychopathology, and bonding. She is a member of COST Action and has two research projects, all about peripartum depression. Also, she is a volunteer at the Center for reproductive mental health. Maja has received various scholarships and is currently in education for an integrative psychotherapist.
